Welcome! Thank You For Visiting!

Who we are, and what we’re about.

First and foremost, we are a church. We are not a motorcycle club or riding club. We are not a social group or fellowship. However, we are not a traditional church. Yes, we sing, we pray, we give, and we teach the Bible, but that’s probably where tradition ends. We are a Biker Church. We are a brotherhood of bikers bound by a faith relationship in Jesus Christ, a passion for bikers, and freedom of the open road. We are a church where those who possibly don’t fit in with the traditional church can come and worship. It doesn’t matter what kind of motorcycle you ride, or even if you ride. We do not care what kind of patch you might wear. We don’t care what kind of church background you may come from or if you even have a church background. If you are looking for true freedom in Christ and a place where you can live out your true identity in Christ, give us a try.

Meet our pastor, Steve Hinton.

Steve Hinton, aka ‘Rev’ has been in ministry over 40 years. During that time, he has pastored several different churches. He has always loved motorcycles and started riding an early age. However, because of educational and ministry commitments he stopped riding for several years. While serving at a church in Southport, NC God opened the door for him to start riding again. It was also during that time that the Lord began opening doors for him to minister to the local biker community. That passion grew until the Lord opened the door in 2013-2014 for him to start a biker church in Alamance County. Since then, Broken Chains Biker Church was started, and Steve has served bikers in Alamance and surrounding counties.

Steve has been married to his wife Happy for 40 years. He has two adult children and one granddaughter. He and Happy live in Graham, NC.

Broken Chains Core Values

At Broken Chains Biker Church our core values are simple, biblically-based reminders of how we as Christ followers are to live our lives for His glory.

Freedom

Jesus said in John 8:36 So if the Son sets you free, you are truly free. True freedom is found only in a relationship with Jesus Christ. Because of that freedom we are able to enjoy a life that allows us to be who we are – children of God.

Authenticity

Paul said in Philippians 1:10 I want you to understand what really matters, so that you may live pure and blameless lives until the day of Christ’s return. The word pure means genuine or real. Life is about real, being who God created us to be. At Broken Chains we seek to be real in our relationship with Jesus and real in our relationship with others.

Acceptance

Romans 2:11 says, God does not show favoritism. He accepts anyone who comes to him. Jesus was often criticized for hanging out with sinners. In fact, He said, Healthy people don’t need a doctor—sick people do. I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners. (Matthew 9:12, 13) Everyone is accepted at Broken Chains.

Forgiveness

Let’s face it when you live together in community there will be conflict. The key to handling conflict is forgiveness. Ephesians 4:32 says, Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.

Brotherhood

Bikers share a common bond – our love for motorcycles. We enjoy the wind in our face, and the open road unites us. Romans 12:5 says, We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other. In Christ, we are a brotherhood of believers united as on for the common good of the Kingdom of God.
